GERMEN muestra la dimensión de género en la relación humana-microbio de los saberes y prácticas del curar, cuidar y el Buen Vivir. La red es una plataforma de gentes, investigaciones, recursos e iniciativas para desvelar el pasado silenciado y las lagunas actuales entre género y microbios en las culturas y en las ciencias: como madres, hijas, chamanes, abuelas, microbiólogas, brujas, ciencia ciudadana y sus herramientas, técnicas y rituales (no) domesticados. GERMEN crea espacios para nutrir afinidades, debates e iniciativas sobre las experiencias, saberes, prácticas y corporalidades del Buen Vivir con microbios.
GERMEN shows the gendered dimension of human-microbe relations in the knowledge-practices of healing, caring and living well (Buen Vivir). The network is a multi-voiced platform of people, research, resources, and initiatives for unveiling the silenced past and present gaps of the entanglements between gender and microbes in cultures and in the sciences: as shamans, (grand)mothers, microbiologists, witches or modern citizen scientists and their (un)tamed tools, techniques, and rituals. GERMEN creates spaces to nurture affinities, debates and initiatives on the experiences, knowledges-practices and corporalities of Buen Vivir with microbes.
